Bedroom unit tops

Profiled edge bedroom unit tops can be supplied in the Unique and Bella vinyl ranges with the profiled edge of the top matching the profiled edge of the doors being used. These tops are all made to measure. For rectangular profiled tops, see Unique profiled edge work tops or Bella Profiled Edge Matching Work Tops . Radius, angled, round, shaped and corner tops are also available, please contact us to order these on 0330 135 9191.

Square edged tops can be supplied in the Gravity & Zurfiz ranges by selecting the required door and ordering as a custom size. Note that, as standard, any grain will run up and down the height of the door so ensure grain direction is correctly specified for the bedroom unit top. Normal practice is to add 20mm to the depth of the carcass so that the top overlaps the door/drawer front at the front edge and then to add any extra width, if required, for a lip at the side of the unit. Back edges would normally be square with any profiling being on front or front and sides as required.

Panels can also be used as cornice on top of tall units where profiled panels would be inverted so that the profile is on the underside.

Door and/or drawer front requirements

All of our units up to 1000mm door height are drilled as standard 100mm from top and 100mm from bottom (as measured from the door edges). All units with doors over 1000mm tall will have 3 hinge drilling locations with a hole in the centre. All units with doors over 1700mm tall will have 4 hinge locations with 2 centre drillings. Top hung units are drilled 100mm in from the left and 100mm in from the right. If you need any more help please get in touch.
